  5. Sir, I gotta say I'm a huge fan of your work. You're one of my biggest inspirations to go into illustration and comic book art. Absolutely LOVED Batman:Noel. I know you probably get this a lot, but I'm actually writing a paper about you for a college class I'm taking and would love to do an interview of you. You probably won't respond but hey, I gotta try ^^''' any who, congrats on the book, it truly was incredible, & can't wait to see what you come up with next

  6. Lee, I just read Noel and It's really good. I liked it a lot.
I feel like I've become hyper sensitive to the difference between a comic with a separate writer and artist and a comic with a writer/artist. I swear, with out knowing who wrote and drew a comic, I could read it and tell you if it was a single creator or a team. Don't get me wrong. There are a lot of writers and artists that I enjoy who team up with others and do fantastic work and I enjoy it... but, there is a difference, right? I think, even with the best teams, there is just something that is not quite in sync. This difference seems to matter more and more to my enjoyment of comics. It's like comics is a language and I want to here what it has to say all coming from one guys mouth, not nouns from this guy and verbs from that guy.
With Noel, I feel like I'm getting that harmonious comic reading experience of one voice speaking comics to me. And what's better is that you speak comics well. I'd say, this is your best work, but what I mean to say is that this is the best comic to come out with your name on it... Does that make since?
I regret not taking the chance to say hi at NYCC. I hardly looked up from the commissions I was doing, plus I was kind of in a bad place, mentally... I'm just a dummy.
